The Best Honeymoon Packing List
Travel essentials
These are items you’ll want to carry on the plane (if you are flying obvi) with you. You’ll need these in case of an emergency, which definitely won’t happen, we just like to be prepared bc yay honeymoons we want no worries!
Sorry for all the commentary on this section, I was getting a little excited while writing. Too many experiences with these ones, if you know what I mean.
- Drivers License/ID and passport
- Cash (never travel without some on you… trust me *insert face palm emoji)
- credit card (make sure it’s travel friendly.. also lol remember when people used to say to take travelers checks)
- Cell Phone
- Cell Phone Charger (and any other types of chargers, i.e. apple watch)
- Basic toiletries (I always have a toothbrush/toothpaste, contact case and solution bc you’re girl’s blind, deodorant, and face wash)
- Basic Makeup (ok, maybe I’m a little extra on this one.. but say you loose your luggage. You don’t want to be left without anything for your HONEYMOON!)
- Printed itinerary and tickets (am I the only one who fears my phone will die right before I scan it at my gate?)
- Prescription Medications (yep)
- One change of clothes
- Adapter (if you are going to another country… *face palm again)
- Printed copies of your travel doc’s (my mom would say I needed this… I’ve never needed them… your call)
Clothing
Ok, honey, there are A LOT of factors that go into determining what clothes you need to bring on your honeymoon. Here is a list of things to think about: weather, length of time, type of activities you’ll be doing, how much fashion matters to you, if you are checking a bag, etc.
I will give you a list of essentials that you’ll need no matter where you’re at. You’ll then see a miscellaneous section. Those are some items that you may need depending on various scenarios. You can include and check those off if you think you’ll need them too.

Romantic Extras
The fun part, am I right? Yeah these are the things that you were really curious about. So just because I want the Go*gle to like me, I don’t want to write every little detail, but hopefully my hints help?
Bring anything you really want though. Surprise each other, and make great memories together!
- Perfume (look up ANY article about the power of scent in making memories)
- Lingerie
- Polaroid Camera (cute, optional)
- Love notes
- Scented oils
- Chocolate
- Romantic playlist
- Anything you got at the bachelor or bachelorette parties that I don’t want to spell out here *winky face
- Baggies (not romantic, just didn’t know where to include it lol use them if you don’t want your phone or wallet to get wet)
Bonus: A Few Recommendations
If you are going out of the country, do yourself a favor and pay for international cell service, even just during the time you’re on your trip. Usually it isn’t that much, mine was $10 per day. TRUST ME, it’s worth it.
Check if you need an adapter if you are leaving the country. Most resorts have American plugs, but if you’re staying in an Airbnb or something… NO GAURANTEE!
Double check what the weather is going to be like a few days in advance. When in doubt, bring an extra jacket. You’d rather be comfortable on your honeymoon.
Don’t overschedule yourself. As a rule of thumb, don’t plan more than one activity a day. And “going out to get lunch at a cute cafe” counts as one thing. Really, you don’t want to be busy, out and about, the whole time.
Research where you want to eat ahead of time. Save a bit before and have one nice dinner. Take a picture there! That’s the one that you can show your kids and tell them “see that was mommy and daddy on our honeymoon” and they will think you were all bougie because you were at a fancy place. Cute! Plus mems!
Don’t stress. You can buy most things most places!
HAVE FUN!!
