This post is all about items to have in your wedding day emergency kit.
Wedding Day Emergency Kit Items
1. Sewing Kit (with safety pins)
mhmm, yess girl you need a sewing kit. Trust me. One of the worst emergencies that you may encounter is wardrobe malfunctions.
Be sure that the sewing kit that you bring along includes safety pins. The can be incredibly convenient rather than having to break out the needle and thread.
2. Water
Maybe you weren’t thinking too much about it, but hydration is important every day INCLUDING your wedding day.
You’ll be going going going all day long, you need to keep yourself hydrated. It’ll keep you from getting major headaches. Your skin and lips will keep from drying out.
Win!
3. Pain Medicine
Ok, yes your emergency kit needs some pain meds. It’s pretty obvious why, but I’ll spell it out for you.
If you get a headache, cramps, or sprain your ankle, you don’t want to be without those bad boys.
They don’t take up very much space.
4. Snacks
Why do I need to bring snacks when I’ve planned meals in throughout the wedding day? Oh well let me just tell you.
There is a VERY good chance you’ll miss out on eating full meals while chatting with guests. Having some snacks will keep you from getting hangry!

5. Mints
Lots of talking will be happening on your wedding day. Don’t want to be scaring your guests with bad breathe.
Heck no! Don’t risk it, just put those in the bag!
6. Deodorant
Let’s be honest, we have all had those brain farts where we forget the most basic hygiene steps of the day.
Just in case, keep yourself fresh and bring that deodorant in the emergency kit. How sad would it be to be stinky while hugging and embracing your loved ones.
What a fun memory to never forget!
7. Hand Sanitizer
I’m not a germaphobe, but there’s something a little nasty about having to shake so many hands and then have to eat cake..
You’ll keep yourself from getting sick, and feel a ton more comfortable if you keep that sanitizer handy.
8. Makeup
Touch-ups baby, you gotta bring that makeup! Especially if you think there’s a chance you might cry (you will, plan on it).
Wedding days are long, wedding receptions are warm. You will want that choice to touch up your look for the photos.
9. Band Aids
These handy little bandages are good for tons of things.
Let’s say you get a blister, uhh don’t worry you got a quick fix.
If anything worse happens, you’re still set. You don’t want to get blood on your white dress.
10. Clear Nail Polish
This one is a little different, but clear nail polish is super handy. If you are planning to wear tights or nylons, clear nail polish can be painted onto any run and will help keep it from getting worse.
If your nail polish starts to peel, you can remedy it by applying a new coat.
It’s worth keeping on hand.
11. Lotion
No ashy-ness on your wedding day, NO!
Do yourself a favor and keep your skin hydrated. Plus if you bring a scented one, you’ll be smelling nice and fresh all day!
12. Lip Balm
Again, you really don’t want cracked lips on your wedding day.
Remember that there will be so many pictures taken, you don’t want to have those crusties ruin anything.
If you’re feeling fancy, keep a lip gloss to go over your hydrated lips.
13. Antacids
Heartburn and stomach aches are the worst on any day, but you’ll be super distracted and sad if you have those on your wedding day.
Another thing to think about is the type of food you will be eating on your wedding day.. are they rich? probably, so you’ll want these on hand too.
14. Brush and Hair Accessories
Yep! Do you plan to dance? Is there a chance for wind while you take photos?
There are so many reasons why you’ll need hair care items, so just bring them along.
15. Tampons/pads
Again, a super straight-forward one here.
How sad would it be if your beautiful white dress gets stained..? Also, nothing would be more obvious… and everyone’s eyes are on you. Bring them!
16. Phone Charger
MUST HAVE. seriously, bring a backup. You’ll want to be able to call and text throughout the day to keep tabs on vendors, guests, etc.
17. Tissues
Remember when I asked if you think that you might be crying during the day?
They can also help you to fix any makeup malfunctions.
18. Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Fresh breath, clean teeth, good good good.
19. Extra Shoes
Just in case you forgot to break in your pretty high heals, you really need to bring an extra comfy pair of shoes.
You can use these during your reception which tends to last forever, and the dancing will be much more bearable.
20. Static Guard
Talk about wardrobe malfunctions, static can ruin anyone’s day.
Dresses, especially in the winter time, can be a nightmare!
21. Hair Spray
Again with the hair, this can also help with the static or even help avoid any underwear riding up -ness.
